forum is rated high enough view base to attract *huge* amount of spam and email harvesting attempts HOURLY.
 
99.999% automated.    
 
When automated bot tries to mass spam all the members with automated PM ads,  the attempt fails.
 
Attempting to post in wrong board (as mindless bot does),  causes major limit to IP priv. to prevent spamming.
 
 
obviously,  an individual could manually spam ads, but  likely if they speak english would see that this board probably not helpful.. ie.  don't think many/any Ecco Pro users would order any spam type product/mail order bride/etc.
 
 
So,  step necessary to eliminate automated spam and spam for anyone with any reasonable sense or intelligence.    It does not make economic sense to spam here-- the time will not return any money.
