Hello.  I am a 15-year ECCO user, and would have a difficult time getting along without it -- for my job, hobbies, household, you name it.  However, I am totally new to the various extensions now available thorugh this intriguing web site.  After reading some background at this forum, I thought I'd start with eccoext.exe.  I downloaded it and extracted the files to my Program Files/ECCO folder.  
 
When I try to run eccoext.exe, I immediately get the error:
 
The instruction at "0x00000002" referenced memory at "0x00000002".  The memory could not be "read".
Click on OK to terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debug the program
 
This particular computer is running on Windows 2000, Version 5.0, Build 2195, Service Pack 4.  
 
I can run standard Ecco32.ext just fine.  
 
Can anyone suggest a cure for this problem?  Perhaps it is a problem with my computer.  I am an intermediate-level computer user -- not knowledgeable enough to know what this error message means.

That certainly did the trick.
 
So I created a little batch file to execute those commands and added it to my quick-start menu, and I'm up and running.
 
Now I can explore the benefits of Eccoext.  
 
Having the scroll wheel is great!  I'll do more reading in the wiki, etc., and try some other capabilities.
