This tool is only for a professional who needs a certified count.  Free tools that do basically the same task in Ecco are included in the slang script section.   This tool for those who 'live by the number of their words' and need 100% certainty that non-words are not counted to inflate word count for publication/translation fee calculations/etc.  
 
 
EM CWC performs a multi-pass contextual analysis of the text to insure that non-words do not inflate word count.  Thus, for example, the tool insures that the word count calculation will not be inflated by things like sectional demarcation division  (ie,   the reference to "Section 2 (a) (ii) (7) (E)" will not be counted as 6 words).
