I've been away from Ecco Pro for awhile but I'm back!
Right away I've stumbled onto a problem that used to drive me crazy -- partly because it doesn't happen all of the time and partly because I have never figured out why it occurs.
(By the way, I am running Ecco Pro on both Win 98 and on XP, and I am using version 4.01 (32 bit).)
When I enter text into a text field within a column, the text truncates if it is longer than the text field. For instance, if I enter 50 characters into a 30 character field only the first 30 characters show. The rest appears to run off the screen.
But it doesn't always happen. Sometimes the text wraps nicely and the field enlarges to handle the additional text.
I can't figure out why this happens, and I can't fix it by dragging the field to a larger size (meaning it doesn't work to highlight the specified field and drag the box to make it larger).
Also, the box in which the text is stored (when I click on it) is smaller than the allowed space, which means that it may only be taking up 15 or 20 characters out of a 30 character wide field.
This is really frustrating since I can't see the truncated text, and since it doesn't happen all the time.
I've verified that the column is a text column, that it is Left Aligned, etc..
Any one have any ideas what this could be?
Thank you.
