Just to clarify- my current situation:

The main ecco program files ARE already located in C:\PROGRAM FILES (X86)\ECCO folder

The windows system files such as vbrun300.dll and vbctl2d.vbx and so forth are already in the C:\WINDOWS\SYSWOW64 folder.

if you run setup32.exe from the C:\PROGRAM FILES (X86)\ directory,

what happens.

(setup32.exe is created from running the 2 file set found at ecco_pro forum).

I still have been able to find that "two file" ecco32.exe on the ecco_pro yahoo group.

I do have ecco32.exe from the netmanage website, however.  I'll try that from within the (x86) directory.

the setup32.exe is the file to try, NOT the ecco32.exe.

there is also a copy in the member file board of the EM forum.

yes sorry, I mistyped.  I meant to say setup32.exe.  I have been hospitalized but should be able to resume this project in a week ago.

Hello again.  I'm out of the hospital and have been working on my printing problem.  I solved the problem and you won't believe what I did.  I simply opened a new .eco file by going to FILE/NEW.  The new file has the background color of the notepads almost white color instead of yellow like a legal pad color.  Most importantly, it prints normally.  No matter what I did with the other .eco file that was imported from the windows xp computer, I could not make it print.  So all is well and I hope that this helps someone who experiences the same things as I did.  I am so relieved.  Thanks for all of your help and tips and suggestions.   Paul

ahh,

(good to hear you're out of the hospital!)

does "Ecco Magic" appear in the default phone book ?

(sounds like a corruption issue solved using the updated default.ect template).
