Title: date math Post by selster on 02/07/10 at 17:06:10 Hi I'm new to ecco pro. Can't figure out to use the program. I have opened the sample, project.ect. There are columns for start and end dates. I added a duration column, then wanted to see the number of days for each task (from each start to end). Is this possible? Can eccoMagix help? I use win xp and the catalyst tools would not install. Thanks Steve |
Title: Re: date math Post by YSWT on 02/08/10 at 10:35:32 for date math when you enter values, eg., next wed + 4 days or something, use eccomagicXP for date math within folder values, use the slang extension. see eccowiki.com (its all free, and worth the effort) you can then have an auto-computed duration column. |
Title: Re: date math Post by selster on 02/08/10 at 12:27:29 I can't figure this out. Is there a manual that I could read, about slang or other issues about Ecco Pro? Thanks Steve |
Title: Re: date math Post by Admin on 02/08/10 at 14:48:18 Yes, http://eccowiki.com is a good place to start for slang extension. the 'guide to the perplexed' in eccotools.com board is good place for most else. you might even post in the yahoo Ecco_pro forum for help with a rule to compute duration. (there actually are rules, but haven't been able to get everyone to post in SRules.com board where is most helpful. maybe search the ecco_pro board for "++:" and see ... hope helpful. |
