How do I delete only the actual filtered items (Popularity: 6410 )

Posts: 2	How do I delete only the actual filtered items 09/28/10 at 05:35:23 Say I set the filter for those items date stamped last year, how can I delete the found items but not the "breadcrumb" items higher up the hierarchy? I can see how to delete all items on display, but not just those for last year. Any pointers appreciated. Bry

I can identify the items

Main 2010
- Sub 2010
- - Sub a 2009
- - Sub b 2009

but how do I delete just "Sub a" and "Sub b"

The objective of the task is to eliminate all the items which are redundant, but keep those important, whilst also keeping the names and addresses.
