You can create a 'sync' copy from any ecco file.  The orginal is the 'master',  and where the 'global' master file is located.          
         
you can sync by sending emails (built in ecco sync option),

or,  you can sync by connecting (i use feeware hamachi VPN to make other machine look essentiall like drive on my machine) over a network,  and just pointing the 'slave' copy/copies to the directory of the 'global' master file.    "File > Properties > Work Online"          
         
         
the only word of warning about playing with this is understand that "Disconnect" does *NOT* mean disconnect from the current connection.. that is "Work Offline"..    "Disconnect" means FOREVER-NONREVERSIBLE-NO TAKE BACKS  sever the connection between master and slave forever....   ie.  don't ever press the 'disconnect'  button  EVER... unless you no longer want to sync between that file and the others.          
         
         
(You can sync multiple files this way).          
         
when using the second method,  your changes happen line by line in REAL TIME... it's *very* cool.          
         
         
there is another setup,  actual network setup,          
         
to do,  use the freeware eccoMAGIC network group directory tool to FIRST,          
         
create a group directory,          
         
then you can 'share' files --> OR PARTS OF THEM!!!!          
         
when online changes occur... very much in real time.. and it's cooool!          
         
with the share files vs. sync  you can have different filters in play at the same time in the differnt files.     You can play and find more/Report back...
