Title: Which colors are possible?
Post by Anna on 03/20/13 at 18:49:45

Hi,

I'm just starting to use auto assign rules for colors. I've noticed that some HTML color codes work, and many don't. Where can I find a list of possible colors? Would the same colors work in BGColor also?

Thanks :)

Anna.

I see... Lots of views, no replies. I'll assume that nobody so far knows of a complete list. In the meantime, let's put together our own list of colors empirically found to work with eccoext. I'll start. If you can't answer the OP, please don't just lurk -- add to the list!

000000 : Black
4CC417 : Green
FF0000 : Blue
606060 : Medium Grey
E6E6E6 : Light Grey

All colors is possible.

Just reverse the RED part and BLUE part.

#123456 is 0x563412 in eccoext.

This problem has been disscussed twice in the ecco_pro groups.

Using eccoext, you can copy the item as RTF or HTML.

Thanks for the reply. I was beginning to suspect some sort of reversal. I had previously searched the ecco_pro group's archive, but the useful posts must have drowned in the sea of irrelevant search results. Then there's too little in the wiki. I'm pleased to know that all colors are possible. Now I just need to make myself a reverse color picker.  :)

easy way to see color values:

If you select a standard color (using the slang extension [right click choose color[ option) you can then see the value in the color numeric folder for that item.

You can select properties > display number as hex [right click column header] to display values as hex.
