Happy to be here.

Have used Ecco since it came out. There's still nothing better or even close to as good.

Unfortunately, recently, about the same time my backup disk gave out, my Ecco file got corrupted. Argh. No recent backups. Oddly enough, what caused - or probably revealed - the corruption is my realizing that it was no longer password protected. I set the password, and now opening the file gives me the "Retry | Proceed | Cancel" dialog. Retry never works, and when I click "Proceed (Ignore Errors)" the file won't open.

Any thoughts on how I can recover this file?

greg, have you tried to run any kind of data or disaster recovery?

Thanks. Ran data recovery on the backup. Still didn't get my ecco backups. Eventually had to give up on my Ecco file, swallow my losses, and rebuild a file from scratch. It emphasized my need for a better backup strategy. Thanks for your response.
