Let's say you have a structured outline.

Let's say the first three levels are topic/sub-topics and levels beyond that contain large text blocks with information.

Let's say you want to search for particular topics. A problem is that the key words for one topic may appear in the text portions of many unrelated topics.

so, try this:

Using slang extension (of course) set up a filter:

folder = Mr./Mrs. (or any text folder in the file)
EQUALS

++:: ITL < 3

save as named filter such as Level < 3

turn on the filter.

you'll notice nothing happens to your view.

all your items are in the view as before, even though the filter is activated.

but now try this:

in the quick search box, set to Filter, and enter some search term...

you'll notice that the term only matches if it is contained in the first 2 sub levels of any item.
